Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Category Manager to lead and drive the growth. In this role, you will have end-to-end ownership of category strategy, including product curation, pricing, merchandising, and achieving key business metrics. Your expertise will shape the buyer experience and contribute to the category's growth and profitability, making a significant impact on our business.

Job Description:

Category Strategy & Growth:

- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and buyer preferences to identify opportunities for category expansion.

- Set and achieve clear category performance goals, focusing on revenue, margins, and customer satisfaction.

Assortment Planning:

- Identify and onboard new brands, designers, and suppliers to enhance the category offering.

- Collaborate with vendors to curate a selection of high-quality, trend-relevant products.

- Optimize product assortment based on seasonality, trends, and buyer demand.

Pricing & Promotion:

- Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies to balance buyer acquisition and category profitability.

- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, discounts, and offers in collaboration with the marketing team.

- Analyze campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments to maximize ROI.

Merchandising & Buyer Experience:

- Partner with product and design teams to ensure visually appealing and user-friendly category pages.

- Utilize data insights to refine product rankings, filters, and search recommendations for buyers.

- Enhance seamless navigation and discoverability of the fashion category on the platform.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including sales, margins, conversion rates, and inventory turnover.

- Leverage insights to inform decisions on inventory, pricing, and marketing strategies.

- Prepare detailed reports to keep stakeholders informed on category performance.

Vendor Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure operational excellence.

- Negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and partnerships for mutual growth.

- Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels and prevent stockouts or overstocking.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Coordinate with marketing, product, analytics, and customer support teams to drive category growth.

- Align on business goals and ensure smooth execution of initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

- 5-8 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or buying roles, preferably in the e-commerce sector.

- Demonstrated success in driving category growth and achieving business objectives.

Education:

- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.

- MBA or equivalent is a plus.

Must-have attributes/Technical skills:

- Experience in managing categories for app-based platforms or marketplaces.

- Understanding of digital marketing and performance metrics for e-commerce platforms.

- Exposure to fast-paced, high-growth environments with a focus on user experience.
