Mission of role:

The Category Manager will be responsible for driving the overall strategy, growth, and profitability of assigned product categories. This role involves end-to-end ownership from market analysis and consumer insights to new product development, brand building, and performance management, ultimately contributing to company's vision of being the undisputed leader in the mass-market beauty segment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Category Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement category-specific brand strategies in line with company goals. Analyze category performance, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities. Own the annual marketing calendar and budgeting for the category.

- Brand Building & Communication: Drive 360-degree brand campaigns across digital, ATL, BTL, and retail touchpoints. Lead the development of communication briefs and coordinate with creative/media agencies. Manage brand equity and ensure consistency in positioning and messaging.

- New Product Development (NPD): Identify white spaces and lead the conceptualization, development, and launch of new products. Collaborate with R&D, packaging, and supply chain for timely product rollouts.


- Market & Consumer Insights: Commission and interpret consumer research to guide product and communication strategies. Monitor competition and adapt plans to respond to market dynamics.


- Sales & Trade Collaboration: Work closely with sales and trade marketing teams to support in-store visibility, promotions, and pricing strategies. Track ROI of promotional activities and optimize spend effectiveness.

- Performance Management: Track and report key KPIs including category growth, market share, brand health metrics, and campaign performance. Prepare monthly dashboards and present updates to senior leadership.

Key Skills and Competencies:

- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities

- Excellent communication and project management skills

- Deep understanding of brand management, consumer behavior, and go-to-market strategies

- Proficiency in data analysis tools and MS Excel/PowerPoint

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and agencies
