Mission of role:
The Category Manager will be responsible for driving the overall strategy, growth, and profitability of assigned product categories. This role involves end-to-end ownership from market analysis and consumer insights to new product development, brand building, and performance management, ultimately contributing to company's vision of being the undisputed leader in the mass-market beauty segment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement category-specific brand strategies in line with company goals. Analyze category performance, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities. Own the annual marketing calendar and budgeting for the category.
- Brand Building & Communication: Drive 360-degree brand campaigns across digital, ATL, BTL, and retail touchpoints. Lead the development of communication briefs and coordinate with creative/media agencies. Manage brand equity and ensure consistency in positioning and messaging.
- New Product Development (NPD): Identify white spaces and lead the conceptualization, development, and launch of new products. Collaborate with R&D, packaging, and supply chain for timely product rollouts.
- Market & Consumer Insights: Commission and interpret consumer research to guide product and communication strategies. Monitor competition and adapt plans to respond to market dynamics.
