Category Manager - Cables & Wires (B2C Marketing)

Level: AGM/DGM

Experience: 8-12 years of hands-on B2C marketing experience

Background (Preferred): FMCG, FMEG, consumer durables, or building materials

Experience in commodity or parity categories such as paints, adhesives, pipes, electricals, or similar

Education: MBA / PGDM in Marketing from a reputed institute

Role Overview:

We are looking for a senior B2C brand leader to build and scale a high-trust consumer brand in the Cables & Wires category.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy & Positioning:

- Define and execute the overall brand strategy for wires and retail-focused cables

- Build a clear positioning, messaging architecture, and value proposition

- Own annual brand plans and campaign roadmaps

ATL, Digital & Integrated Campaigns:

- Lead creative development across TV, print, OOH, radio, and digital films

- Partner with media and digital teams for planning, buying, and effectiveness tracking

- Ensure seamless storytelling across ATL, digital, and BTL

Digital & Social Media:

- Own the brand's digital presence and always-on content calendar

- Guide agencies on content creation, engagement, and platform strategy

- Oversee website content, videos, and digital brand assets

Retail, Electrician & Influencer Activation:

- Design BTL toolkits including POS, demo kits, and influencer collaterals

- Work closely with sales and regional teams to drive consistent execution

- Build strong brand visibility and preference at the point of sale

Consumer Insights & Performance Tracking:

- Leverage consumer and trade insights to sharpen brand strategy and creative briefs

- Track brand health metrics, campaign ROI, retail lift, and influencer impact

- Publish dashboards and recommend optimizations

Category Business Impact:

- Drive category-level revenue and profitability through aligned marketing investments

- Manage product mix, pricing levers, and demand-generation initiatives
