Role: Category Lead
Compensation offered - Upto 30 lacs
Goldenbridge Search Consulting has been mandated to hire a high-energy, entrepreneurial Category Lead to drive growth, profitability, and innovation across one of our core business verticals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business, product, supply chain, and customer experience. You will own the end-to-end P&L of the category and be responsible for driving sustainable scale.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own and grow the assigned category's P&L - driving top-line revenue, optimizing margins, and improving overall profitability.
2. Define and execute category strategy including pricing, assortment, promotions, customer segmentation, and market positioning.
3. Deeply understand customer behavior, industry trends, and competition to make data-backed business decisions.
4. Identify white spaces and launch new products or sub-categories in collaboration with product and sourcing teams.
5. Work with marketing, growth, and performance teams to craft compelling customer journeys, offers, and campaigns.
6. Collaborate closely with supply chain and operations to ensure seamless availability, inventory hygiene, and delivery SLAs.
7. Monitor and improve key metrics including contribution margin, repeat rate, return rate, and NPS.
Requirements:
1. 6-10 years of experience in category management, business strategy, consulting, or a related role in a consumer-facing business (D2C/FMCG/e-commerce).
2. Prior experience owning a category/business vertical with strong P&L accountability is essential.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to work with large data sets to derive insights.
4. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and lead multiple stakeholders toward common goals.
5. Hustler mindset with a strong bias for execution and results.
6. Excellent communication and business acumen.
