Location: Ahmedabad
Role Purpose
To conceptualize and execute plans in order to deliver the short-term and long-term business objectives (sales, market share, profitability, and brand health) of the assigned brand / group of brands.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Financial (Business)
- Achieve long- and short-term business objectives for the brand(s)
- Lead the creation of annual marketing strategy and development of annual sales, profitability, and marketing expenditure budgets for the brand(s), under guidance of the Line Manager
- Support and contribute to functional and organizational projects as required
- Monitor and ensure brand profitability
- Ensure marketing support budgets are effectively utilized and appropriately accounted for
Customer
- Monitor, analyze, and evaluate market trends, consumer / customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
- Track brand performance and consumer feedback to ensure the marketing mix aligns with evolving needs
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (R&D, Manufacturing) to implement required changes
Process
- Identify market research needs and develop / execute a market research roadmap; ensure insights are meaningfully applied
- Develop and execute brand plans including communication strategy to deliver business objectives
- Monitor and influence demand forecasting; track sales and brand metrics and course-correct as needed
- Develop and execute a strong new product pipeline using the stage-gate process
- Manage external partners (advertising, media, PR, market research agencies) and internal stakeholders (R&D, Manufacturing, GDSO, Sales)
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver brand objectives
People
- Drive performance management for the team (goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews)
- Develop and execute Individual Development Plans (IDPs) with HR support, including on-the-job coaching
- Ensure high levels of engagement and productivity within the team
