Category Head - Solar
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, pitch, and close business opportunities with Commercial & Industrial (C&I) clients for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of solar sales prospects, from lead generation to contract closure.
- Provide clients with technical guidance and solutions on solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and other system components.
- Coordinate with internal engineering and project execution (EPC) teams to ensure client needs are aligned with system design and delivery capabilities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key EPC players, manufacturers, and pricing trends in the solar industry.
- Conduct site visits, feasibility studies, and develop client-specific proposals.
- Lead negotiations around pricing, commercial terms, and post-sales support.
- Build long-term relationships with corporate clients, consultants, and key decision makers.
- Stay current on government policies, incentives, and regulatory frameworks related to solar energy.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in solar power sales with focus on commercial and industrial clients.
- Strong technical understanding of solar PV systems including panels, inverters, BoS components, and ground-mounted systems.
- Prior exposure to EPC processes and major industry players/manufacturers.
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies in the renewable energy sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
