Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy for motor products, including Motor Extended Warranty, AMC services, and VAS offerings, aligned with the company's overall business objectives and catering to different customer cohorts and distribution channels.
- Product Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle for Motor Extended Warranty, AMC services, and VAS offerings, from ideation and development to launch, performance monitoring, and retirement. Ensure products are competitive, compliant, and meet the specific needs of various customer segments and distribution channels.
- Pricing & Underwriting: Collaborate with actuarial and underwriting teams to optimize pricing strategies for all motor products, ensuring profitability while maintaining market competitiveness across different offerings and channels.
- Top-line & Bottom-line : Responsible for both the top-line & bottom-line/ contribution % of the category.
- Market Analysis & Insights: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights studies to identify opportunities and threats for Motor Extended Warranty, AMC services, and VAS offerings, informing strategic decisions for diverse customer groups and distribution channels.
- Sales & Distribution Support: Work closely with sales and distribution channels to develop effective go-to-market strategies, training programs, and incentive schemes for all motor products, tailored to various distribution networks.
- Customer Experience: Champion initiatives to improve the customer journey and overall experience within the motor category, including for Motor Extended Warranty, AMC services, and VAS offerings.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all category activities and products adhere to relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs), track category performance across all motor products, analyze results, and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Team Leadership: Potentially lead and mentor a team of product managers or specialists within the motor category.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in the motor insure-tech industry/ motor start-ups with garage networks, with a significant portion in a category building/management role.
- Deep understanding of motor products, including Motor Extended Warranty, AMC services, VAS offerings, underwriting principles, and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful category strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability for diverse product lines and distribution channels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various departments (sales, marketing, actuarial, IT, legal).
