Function: Marketing

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer

About the Role:

A leading consumer products company with a strong legacy and growing presence in the FMCG and food industry is looking for an experienced Category Head to drive growth, innovation, and profitability across its food portfolio. This strategic leadership role will focus on expanding market share, developing long-term category plans, and launching high-quality, health-focused products that align with evolving consumer preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends.

- Lead product portfolio management, from innovation and new launches to lifecycle optimization.

- Own the P&L and drive profitability through effective pricing, promotions, and cost management.

- Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, and R&D teams to ensure successful market execution.

- Utilize consumer insights and market research to identify growth opportunities and guide business decisions.

- Mentor and lead a high-performing team to achieve excellence in execution and delivery.

- Strengthen the category's positioning through targeted branding and go-to-market strategies.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA from a reputed institute (preferably in Marketing, Strategy, or General Management).

- 10-12 years of experience in category management, brand management, or marketing within the FMCG or food sectors.

- Proven success in driving category growth and managing large product portfolios.

- Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and leadership skills.

- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
