This leadership role requires deep experience in fashion/jewellery category management, a strong understanding of consumer trends, and the ability to forge strategic partnerships while scaling the business sustainably.
You will own the P&L of the jewellery category and work cross-functionally with marketing, growth, and product teams to deliver results.
Core Responsibilities
- Category Leadership: Own P&L responsibility for the jewellery category, setting clear growth strategies across revenue, margins, and selection.
- Brand Partnerships: Lead onboarding and growth of national & international jewellery brands, managing long-term relationships and ensuring their success.
- Selection & Assortment Expansion: Identify consumer needs, expand assortment across sub-categories, negotiate terms, and manage vendor partners for scale.
- Pricing & Demand Generation: Develop pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and demand levers in collaboration with marketing & growth teams.
- Strategic Planning: Build and execute short- and long-term category plans, reporting to leadership on topline, bottom-line, and key performance metrics.
- Innovation & Automation: Drive process improvements, automation, and scalable solutions to support rapid category growth.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a small but high-performing category & brand success team.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 9-12+ years of proven experience in category management, merchandising, or brand partnerships with fashion/jewellery as a must-have.
- Someone who has lived the hustle of scaling fashion, lifestyle, or jewellery verticals at the biggest platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio, etc.)
- Strong track record of P&L ownership, vendor management, and scaling categories
- Deep understanding of jewellery market dynamics, fashion trends, and consumer behaviour.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to balance analytics and creativity.
- MBA preferred, but not mandatory for candidates with outstanding industry expertise.
- Willingness to travel and engage with vendors and partners as needed.
