Category Buyer - Medical Equipment

ROLE PURPOSE :

The Category Buyer - Medical Equipment is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing and end-to-end procurement of high-value medical equipment across the organization's healthcare facilities. This mid-level role (approximately 10+ years' experience) integrates clinical requirements, technical evaluation, and commercial strategy to ensure cost optimization, equipment standardization, regulatory compliance, and supply continuity across the healthcare network.

The Category Buyer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to align procurement plans with clinical needs and organizational growth, while driving digitization, sustainability, and process excellence.

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Biomedical engineering, Mechanical/Electrical engineering, life sciences, or supply chain management.

- MBA or post qualification in supply chain, operations or healthcare management.

Experience :

- 10 - 12 years of experience in procurement/supply chain (with significant exposure in healthcare or medical equipment sourcing).

- Experience in hospital or healthcare group procurement is strongly preferred for understanding clinical and regulatory nuances.
