Senior Product Manager @ CarTrade Tech (Mumbai)

Reporting into the Product Leadership Team

Role Summary:

As Senior Product Manager, you will own a clearly defined, meaningful product area end to end - strategy, execution, and outcomes - and be someone the organisation can trust to deliver results independently. You will lead a small team of 1-2 PMs - having personally hired and trained them - while also being a highly effective individual contributor on your own large projects. The bar is the same as for any product leader here: exceptional ownership, sharp execution, and the judgement to know what matters.

This role is a proving ground for the traits that define our product leadership - ownership, rigour, and the willingness to challenge how things are done.

What You'll Do:

Product Ownership & Strategy:

- Own strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for a defined, meaningful product area

- Identify larger opportunities within your area rather than waiting for them to be assigned

- Take accountability for outcomes and impact, not just delivery

Team & Execution:

- Lead and mentor a small team of 1-2 PMs - having personally hired and trained them

- Independently drive large, often cross-functional projects from ideation to launch and iteration

- Show excellent execution both hands-on and through your team

Challenging the Status Quo:

- Question existing assumptions and approaches within your product area

- Push for better ways of solving problems rather than settling for the familiar one

Analytics & Rigour:

- Define success metrics for your area and track performance post-launch

- Bring high attention to detail across specs, execution, and analysis

- Use data to prioritise, validate hypotheses, and drive informed decisions

AI-First Adoption:

- Proactively adopt AI tools and skills for your own productivity and to improve how your product area operates

- Identify and execute AI-led use-cases that unlock new opportunities, optimise processes, or grow revenue and engagement within your area

What We're Looking For:

- 4-6 years of relevant product management experience

- High ownership mindset - a proven track record of driving outcomes independently, end to end

- Demonstrated impact within a defined product area, with the ability to speak to specifics of what changed because of you

- Has personally hired and trained at least 1-2 reportees; demonstrated ability to build and grow a small team

- A track record of challenging existing approaches and driving change

- Highly detail-oriented, with consistently high standards for quality of execution

- Strong cross-functional coordination and communication skills

- An early adopter of AI tools and skills, with at least one concrete use-case that created a new opportunity, an optimisation, or a revenue/engagement uplift

- A track record of fast growth - in scope of responsibility and in compensation - ideally backed by relevant industry recognition/awards and a strong educational background
