Capital One - Senior Manager - Employee Relations

About the Role:

At Capital One India, we solve fundamental business problems at scale using advanced analytics, data science and machine learning. We are looking for a motivated Associate Relations Consultant to provide consultation to internal associates on HR policies and resolve formal employment complaints. You will act as a subject matter expert to help resolve problems and partner with leaders to foster a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Investigate and resolve manager and associate issues by acting as a coach and providing guidance

- Help people leaders, associates, and business leaders reconcile conflicts and disputes

- Ensure all associates have an objective and knowledgeable resource at their disposal to work through challenging employment, performance and policy issues

- Partner with departments such as Legal, Benefits, Office of Corporate Investigations and Security Operations to ensure legal and regulatory compliance

- Investigate and resolve formal employment complaints including harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination

- Review departmental case data to identify trends and recommend action plans for business units

- Partner with HR Business Partners to enhance people leader capabilities

- Review policies and procedures that support the associate experience

- Act as a role model and champion for Capital One values

- Participate in internal projects that improve processes through cross-functional partnership

- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Associate Relations Consultants

- Examine data at the department, line of business, and division level to identify trends

- Serve as a point of escalation for formal employment complaint investigations

Qualifications:

- MBA or MBA equivalent or PGDM Full-time

- 13+ years of Human Resources experience, with a focus on employee relations

- At least 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Business Partner

- At least 1 year of experience leading project teams

- Knowledge of employment law and practices

- 10+ years of experience working in a team environment and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
