Capital Numbers - Account Manager

Description: We are looking for the Accounts Head, who can lead the finance and accounting function, ensuring accurate books, compliance with statutory regulations, and smooth month-end/year-end closures. Supervise team operations and coordinate with auditors for financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, balance sheets, and statements in compliance with regulatory and internal accounting standards.

- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.

- Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

- Prepare and review tax returns, compliance reports, and other statutory filings in coordination with auditors and consultants.

- Supervise and mentor a team of 10 accountants, reviewing their work for accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders for audits, filings, and financial reviews.

- Assist in developing and implementing internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvements.

- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and proper reporting.

- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register track additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.

- Support the preparation and review of Tax Audit Reports and ensure compliance with relevant tax and accounting laws.

- Handle account finalization and assist in preparing management reports for decision-making.

- Perform any other accounting or compliance-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Education: CA / ICWAI / Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA preferred).

Experience: 6-8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory role.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in Tally and ERP-based accounting systems.

- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.

- Sound understanding of GST, Income Tax, and Company Law.

Preferred Background: Experience in an audit firm or a manufacturing organization.
