About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to lead our Portfolio Management Services (PMS) vertical as the Principal Officer, in compliance with SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 2020. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of analytical rigor, investment acumen, and regulatory understanding to manage client portfolios and drive performance in alignment with the companys strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management: Design, implement, and monitor customized investment strategies to achieve clients financial goals while adhering to risk management frameworks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 2020 and all other applicable laws, circulars, and guidelines.
- Investment Research & Strategy: Conduct in-depth research on equity, debt, and alternate asset classes to formulate and execute investment strategies.
- Client Relationship Management: Engage with high-net-worth clients to communicate portfolio performance, investment rationale, and market outlook.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the PMS operations team, analysts, and support staff to ensure seamless execution, reporting, and compliance.
- Reporting & Documentation: Supervise periodic performance reports, disclosures, audit compliance, and regulatory filings with SEBI.
- Product Development: Contribute to the design and development of new PMS strategies and thematic products aligned with market trends and investor needs.
Eligibility & Qualification (as per SEBI Guidelines):
- Must meet SEBIs Principal Officer eligibility criteria under Regulation 7(2) of SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 2020.
Educational Qualification:
- A professional qualification in finance, such as CFA, CA, CS, ICWA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in securities market activities including fund management, research, or advisory functions.
Certifications:
- Must possess NISM Series XXI-A (Portfolio Management) certification and other relevant NISM certifications as applicable.
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of capital markets, portfolio theory, and investment products.
- Proven track record of delivering superior risk-adjusted returns.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage client expectations and deliver high-quality investment advice.
- Proficiency in portfolio analytics tools, Bloomberg/Reuters, and Excel-based modeling.
