What are we looking for :  Senior Consultants within IDMS Data Governance and Data Quality (DG & DQ) Practice   The DG & DQ practice within IDMS is focused on defining, developing and deploying the IDMS DG & DQ operating framework to improve quality of data used in our client's businesses and in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements. This requires engaging with clients CDO office and lines of businesses to fine tune IDMS frameworks to define data governance policies, standards and procedures for the organization. Additionally, as per IDMS framework, defines strategies and goals to improve data quality for use in business processes such as Global Risk, Finance and Compliance Processes including CCAR, Basel, Regulatory Reporting etc.  He or she is also responsible for implementation of the IDMS data governance and data quality measurement programs across line of businesses.   The ideal candidate to have deep understanding of reference data function, within Investment Banking or Wealth Management space from Technology, Ops, Business Solutions, Consumers, CDO perspective.   Key Responsibilities for Role :  - Define & own the IDMS Data Governance and Data Quality consulting framework around reference data specifically within Investment Bank and in accordance to framework identify building blocks within IDMS product facilitating implementation of Data Governance & Data Quality for prospective clients   - Fine tune (modify) and Implement IDMS Data Governance & Data Quality policies, standards and definition and metrics for clients.   - Work with Product, Business, Operations and Technology stakeholders to identify critical data elements, define data quality rules and implement data quality measurement and monitoring  - Work with Risk, Compliance and Finance and other functions within client business to understand data quality issues and propose remediation to support individual function's objectives  - Represent IDMS within Capgemini working groups around Data Governance and Data Quality, provide ideas for improving governance frameworks and structures and align IDMS framework with the best practices agreed with the central working group  - Provide consulting to clients (banks and financial institutions) with regards to their Data Governance challenges and implementation in Reference Data  - Understand industry wide regulatory initiatives like BCBS 239 and enhance/align data quality initiatives for IDMS readiness to meet the DQ challenges  Job Requirements & Desired Experience :  - Minimum of 10 years of experience in a top tier bank or a major services organisation, with large-scale data or project management and oversight experience with at the least 5 years in a data management role  - Superb ability in strategic thinking and the ability to frame business problems. Excellent communication skills & ability to work with senior management required.  - A strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to influence broadly and challenge conventional thinking. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams. An influence who communicates clearly and frequently to both technical analysts and non-technical business leaders  - Excellent project management skills required.  - Strong technical understanding of data architecture, data quality and related technologies along with data quality management principles  - Data quality business process improvement experience as it pertains to compliance and data quality initiatives  - Ability to think strategically, creatively problem solve, and the ability to engage resources outside of their direct control to achieve objectives  - Solid working knowledge of core business functions such as quality management, data management, business intelligence, and information technology  - Able to work well across multiple functional areas  - Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and to interface with internal and external resources to define requirements  - Project management and/or process re engineering experience in key bank functions such as finance, risk, products, operations, technology or compliance  - Willingness to pitch-in with other team members. Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to objectively evaluate established business processes, policies and programs  - Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills  Location : Bangalore with international travel
