Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Hedge Accounting professional with at least 7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Chartered Accountant/CWA/CPA/CFA/MBA from a Tier I/II institute, with a minimum of 1-2 years of specific experience in core hedge accounting. You will be responsible for distilling complex hedge accounting concepts into practical processes, applying your deep knowledge of IAS 39/IFRS 9, and managing the accounting for various global market products.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Analysis:

- Apply your deep knowledge of IAS 39/IFRS 9, specifically related to hedge accounting strategies.

- Understand the operation, related risks, and accounting of banking products, and have a strong knowledge of financial instruments and practices.

- Distill complex hedge accounting concepts into practical and efficient processes and controls.

Product & Market Expertise:

- Possess knowledge of various Global Market products like Foreign Exchange, Fixed income, Derivatives (Options, Interest rate swaps, Credit Derivatives).

- Use prior experience in Product Control across multiple asset classes with a strong understanding of Financial Markets, risks, and the changing regulatory environment.

Migration & Process Improvement:

- Manage migrations of finance processes.

- Work with agile delivery techniques.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Experience:

- 7+ years of total experience.

- At least 1-2 years of experience in core Hedge Accounting.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

- A Qualified Chartered Accountant/CWA/CPA/CFA/MBA from a Tier I/II institute.

- Good knowledge of IAS 39/IFRS 9.

- Understanding of financial instruments and global market products.

Professional Attributes:

- Proven ability to distil complex concepts into practical processes.

- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.

Preferred Skills

- Prior Product Control experience across multiple asset classes.

- Experience with agile delivery techniques like the Scaled Agile Framework.

- Familiarity with tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
