Role Description:
- We are looking for an experienced Manager - Procurement (location - Chh.Sambhaji nagar (MH) OR NUH (Haryana) to join our team and lead end-to-end procurement operations for key raw materials.
The ideal candidate will ensure uninterrupted supply, strengthen supplier relationships, optimize costs, and uphold CANPACK Group procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement of all raw materials and consumables for Production and Maintenance, including lubricants, inks, lacquers, chemicals, printing consumables, and materials for WWTP & STP.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels and drive inventory accuracy.
- Work closely with Production and Sales teams to understand demand forecasts, consumption trends, and production schedules.
- Manage scrap material disposal in compliance with CANPACK Group procurement policies, ensuring competitive pricing.
- Conduct regular market research on pricing, availability, risks, and supplier landscape to drive cost-effective sourcing strategies.
- Lead cost optimization initiatives and develop alternate sources for materials and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Develop and implement frame contracts for high-value materials as per purchase policy.
- Conduct periodic supplier evaluations on cost, quality, delivery, service, and compliance parameters.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, RFQs, contracts, comparative analyses, and all procurement documentation as per company guidelines.
- Present monthly delivery performance reports with improvement action plans to top management.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant procurement experience in manufacturing industries.
- Strong exposure to imports of raw materials.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor-management skills.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and e-sourcing tools (SAP/Ariba preferred).
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Solid understanding of procurement policies, controls, and global best practices
