Calypso Technical Analyst

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Calypso Technical Analyst with strong hands-on experience in the Calypso Trading Platform, preferably Calypso v16 and above. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Capital Markets products, trade lifecycle, and Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office processes.

The role involves working closely with business, technology, and operations teams to support and enhance Calypso-based trading and capital markets solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into Calypso-based solutions.

- Work on configuration, customization, integration, and enhancement of the Calypso Trading Platform.

- Support and maintain Calypso applications across the Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office.

- Understand and manage the complete trade lifecycle, from trade capture through confirmation, settlement, and reporting.

- Work with Capital Markets products across multiple asset classes, including FX, Fixed Income, Credit Derivatives, and Interest Rate Derivatives.

- Collaborate with business users, developers, QA, and operations teams to understand requirements and resolve functional/technical issues.

- Perform impact analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for Calypso-related issues.

- Support system upgrades, enhancements, releases, and production deployments.

- Participate in functional and technical design discussions, testing, and implementation activities.

- Prepare technical documentation and contribute to process and system improvements.

- Ensure solutions align with business requirements, technical standards, and operational processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Strong hands-on experience with the Calypso Trading Platform (v16 or above).

- Strong understanding of Capital Markets and financial products.

- Good knowledge of the end-to-end trade lifecycle.

- Strong understanding of Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office processes.

- Experience with FX, Fixed Income, Credit Derivatives, or Interest Rate Derivatives.

- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have:

- Experience with Calypso upgrades, migrations, interfaces, and integration with external systems.

- Exposure to trade processing, settlements, confirmations, market data, and risk management.

- Understanding of financial markets regulations and controls.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

Education:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
