Description:
Responsibilities:
- Drive business growth through new customer acquisition, Existing client relationships/Account Management and delivery excellence.
- Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of quality
- Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging teams to explore new technologies and methodologies
- Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and personnel development to maximize productivity
- Establish and promote engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, and deployment strategies
- Represent the engineering organization in executive meetings, communicating progress and advocating for necessary resources
Required Qualifications:
- Experience at senior delivery/engineering management level in a services company
- Proven track record of growing a services business unit or division inside a services company
- Experience having worked at technical roles in early part of career in one of the areas of expertise of Calsoft viz. Infrastructure products (i.e., server, virtualization, security or storage), Networking, Telco or AI-ML. Or another area of Product Engineering. Business level understanding of how product companies in these areas operate
- During career, one recent management stint at a mid-size or small services organization ranging in size from 300 to 3000 employees
- Proven track record of managing large delivery/engineering teams in a fast and agile environment
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution, with a focus on delivering results
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a services company having customers such as Dell, HPE, Cisco, VMware/Broadcom etc
- Experience leading engineering teams distributed across geographies.
- Prior experience collaborating with business development teams in growth of services business preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure Product engineering, AI/ML, Telecommunication preferred.
- A background in building high-performing engineering cultures focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
