About the Role:
- The Revenue Team at Calix plays key roles throughout the entire quote-to-cash process in support of the business to enable customers to simplify their operations, excite their subscribers, and grow their value.
- This is the Calix mission: to empower broadband service providers of all sizes to simplify, excite, and grow.
- Collaborating closely with the Senior Manager, Finance Transformation and the Revenue Team, the primary purpose of this role is to support user acceptance testing (UAT) for projects related to quote-to-cash workflows and month-end close as the company's business expands and matures.
Responsibilities:
- The revenue recognition scenarios at Calix are diverse and include hardware, extended warranty, software, support and maintenance, professional services, as well as cloud and subscription offerings.
- Support projects impacting quote-to-cash workflows, including new product launches, system migrations, and strategic go-to-market initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance Systems, Oracle IT, Operations Commerce, Order Management, Revenue/AR) to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage and quality delivery.
- Develop and apply business and ASC 606 revenue knowledge to inform UAT test plan and strategy.
- Review business requirements and conduct test scenarios to ensure accurate and effective execution of UAT and related documentation in a systematic, efficient, and scalable process, including data accuracy, calculation validation, and result integrity within defined timelines.
- Document results and defects thoroughly, providing step-by-step instructions to reproduce issues and all relevant details needed for the project team to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Perform month-end close tasks associated with subscription and services revenue as needed (e.g., report reconciliation, data validation, ad hoc analysis, or reporting).
- Maintain compliance with applicable internal control policies, external regulations and contribute to ongoing process enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Degree in accounting or finance.
- 3-4 years of combined public accounting experience and/or SaaS industry experience.
- Solid understanding of revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud / Revenue Management Cloud Service (RMCS) or other ERP systems preferred.
- Experience with financial system projects, especially user acceptance testing (UAT) required.
- Comfort in data mining, managing large datasets, and automating workflows.
- Proficient knowledge of MS office, specifically in MS Excel (example: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, power query).
- Self-motivated, analytical, and deadline-oriented team player with the ability to research issues and drive resolution.
- Attention to detail, organized and thorough with desire for continuous learning and improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, partnership and project management skills at all levels of the organization.
Location: This role is hybrid-based in India supporting Pacific USA time zone.
