Position Summary :


The Vertical Head - Sales & Marketing - Gynecology, Orthopedics & Gastroenterology Division is responsible for driving the strategic, commercial, and operational performance of the specialty business. The role will lead product portfolio management, sales, marketing, business development, P&L, and field force effectiveness to achieve sustainable growth, enhance market share, and strengthen the organization's presence in the Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Gastroenterology segments.


The incumbent will work closely with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Manufacturing to ensure successful product launches, market expansion, and profitability.


Key Responsibilities :


Business Strategy & Leadership :


- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Gastroenterology divisions.


- Define annual business plans, revenue targets, market share objectives, and growth strategies.


- Drive sustainable business growth while ensuring profitability.


- Identify new business opportunities, therapeutic gaps, and expansion opportunities.


P&L Management :


- Own the division's Profit & Loss (P&L).


- Prepare annual operating plans, budgets, and forecasts.


- Monitor revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, and profitability.


- Implement initiatives to improve business efficiency and return on investment (ROI).


Sales Leadership :


- Lead the national sales organization for the assigned divisions.


- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve volume and value growth.


- Monitor sales performance through KPIs and drive corrective actions where required.


- Improve productivity, territory coverage, and sales force effectiveness.


Marketing & Brand Management :


- Develop marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.


- Manage product life cycle, including product launches, promotions, pricing, and portfolio optimization.


- Design promotional campaigns and scientific marketing initiatives.


- Work with Medical Affairs to develop evidence-based promotional materials.


Product Portfolio Management :


- Identify opportunities for new product introductions, line extensions, and in-licensing.


- Conduct market research and competitor analysis.


- Optimize the product mix to maximize profitability and market penetration.


- Collaborate with R&D and Regulatory Affairs for new product development.


Business Development :


- Evaluate licensing, in-licensing, co-marketing, and strategic partnership opportunities.


- Build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare institutions, and business partners.


- Support expansion into new geographies and channels.


Market Intelligence :


- Analyze prescription trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.


- Develop pricing strategies and promotional effectiveness measures.


- Use market insights to drive business decisions and portfolio growth.


Cross-Functional Collaboration :


- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and HR to ensure seamless execution of business plans.


- Ensure product availability and effective demand planning.


- Coordinate with Training teams to enhance field force capability.


Customer & Stakeholder Engagement :


- Build strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, hospitals, institutions, distributors, and channel partners.


- Represent the organization at scientific conferences, industry forums, and key customer meetings.


Team Leadership :


- Lead, coach, and develop Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams.


- Build a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.


- Drive employee engagement and talent development.


Compliance & Governance :


- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry codes, and applicable regulatory guidelines.


- Promote ethical sales and marketing practices.


- Ensure adherence to pharmacovigilance and promotional compliance requirements.
