Therapeutic Focus: Acute Portfolio (Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Pain Management, and Anti-infectives)

Job Purpose:

The DGM Marketing Strategy will serve as the chief strategic architect for Cadila's high-volume, high-growth Acute divisions, explicitly steering the Gynaecology and Orthopaedic business units.

Tasked with driving macro-marketing initiatives, this leadership role requires an elite corporate strategist capable of marrying top-tier business frameworks with complex pharmaceutical portfolio dynamics. The incumbent will be responsible for scaling Cadilas multi-crore legacy heritage brands, executing disruptive new product launches, mapping therapeutic micro-segments, and delivering aggressive top-line growth and market share gains in the Indian Pharmaceutical Market (IPM).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Macro-Marketing Strategy & Brand Governance:

- Strategic Roadmap: Architect the 1-to-3-year strategic business and marketing plan for the Gynaec and Ortho segments to outpace IPM growth rates.

- Portfolio Lifecycle Management: Continually audit the portfolio matrix to identify white spaces. Lead cross-functional coordination with R&D, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory to seed high-potential molecules and line extensions.

- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize advanced market data analytics (IQVIA, AWACS, secondary prescription metrics) to forecast market trends, patient demographics, and competitor playbooks.

2. Campaign Excellence & Medical Advocacy:

- Elite Medico-Marketing: Conceptualize and pilot high-impact scientific marketing campaigns that position Cadila as a clinical leader among Obstetricians, Gynaecologists, Orthopaedic surgeons, and Rheumatologists.

- KOL Architecture: Strategically build, cultivate, and engage with national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and executive medical boards through Advisory Meets and CMEs.

- Omnichannel Outreach: Spearhead the transition into digital health ecosystems, utilizing tech-enabled platforms for surgical/clinical awareness and targeted practitioner engagement.

3. Commercial Alignment & P&L Optimization:

- A&P Governance: Strategically allocate and manage the multi-million Advertising & Promotional (A&P) budget across the therapeutic segments, maintaining a laser focus on ROI and brand evolution indices.

- Sales Collaboration: Partner directly with Sales Leadership (NSMs/ZSMs) to drive flawless ground-level execution of marketing strategies, and design motivating field-force communication themes.

- Supply Chain Synchronization: Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) interactions to ensure supply pipeline predictability with manufacturing sites (e.g., Dholka and Samba facilities).

4. Leadership & Team Building:

- Capability Development: Direct, mentor, and inspire a premium Product Management Team (PMT), fostering a data-backed, high-accountability corporate culture.

Technical Competence: Key Portfolio Indicators:

- The incumbent will have direct strategic oversight over Cadilas prestigious acute-care brands, including but not limited to:

- Gynaecology Segment: HaemUp (Market-leading iron-deficiency anaemia formulation), Algest (Progesterone therapy for luteal phase defect/pregnancy maintenance), Myonext (PCOS management), and Folnew (Pregnancy nutritional care).

- Orthopaedic & Pain Segment: Acenext Range (Aceclofenac combinations including Acenext-P, Acenext-SP, and Acenext-TH for musculoskeletal pain and spasm management) and Calnew-HD (Advanced bone health/nutrition management).

- Acute/Anti-infectives: Axone (Ceftriaxone injectable range) and Aciloc (Legacy gut-care/acid reduction therapy).

Candidate Profile (Mandatory Qualifications):

Education:

- Undergraduate: B.Pharm / B.Tech (Biotech) / B.Sc (Life Sciences) is highly preferred.

- Postgraduate: MBA / PGDM from IIM (Indian Institutes of Management) or ISB (Indian School of Business) is STRICTLY MANDATORY.

Experience:

- Duration: 8 to 10 years of post-MBA core marketing strategy and brand management experience within the Indian pharmaceutical landscape.

- Therapeutic Domain: Proven track record of handling massive acute-care brands, specifically managing large-volume Gynaec or Ortho/Pain franchises.

- Current Status: Must be currently operating at an AGM or DGM level in a Tier-1 Indian or Global Multinational Pharmaceutical company.

Functional & Behavioral Skills:

Exceptional macroeconomic mindset with flawless execution logic.

High-order financial acumen (P&L tracking, margin optimization, price-elasticity modeling).

Immaculate boardroom presentation and communication skills.

Ability to handle multi-tiered stakeholders within a fast-paced, promoter-driven organization.
