Role Overview:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Vice President - Investments to lead investment origination, transaction execution, and portfolio management within the real estate financing and private credit space.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in structured credit, real estate finance, investment structuring, and relationship management, along with a proven track record of closing high-value financing transactions and leading investment teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Origination & Relationship Management:

- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with investment objectives.

- Originate structured debt and Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) investment opportunities within the real estate sector.

- Build and maintain relationships with real estate developers, investment bankers, independent property consultants, and strategic intermediaries.

- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of investment opportunities.

Transaction Execution & Investment Evaluation:

- Lead end-to-end transaction execution, from origination through financial closure.

- Structure financing solutions and negotiate commercial terms, transaction structures, security packages, and documentation.

- Evaluate financial models, project cash flows, credit risks, and investment viability.

- Coordinate with legal, technical, valuation, and internal investment teams to ensure seamless execution.

- Prepare investment proposals and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.

Portfolio Management & Risk Oversight:

- Monitor portfolio performance, project progress, covenant compliance, and repayment schedules.

- Identify emerging risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

- Work with borrowers on restructuring, refinancing, and resolution initiatives where required.

- Provide regular portfolio performance updates to senior management.

Leadership & Strategic Stakeholder Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of 5 - 7 investment professionals.

- Drive team performance, accountability, and execution excellence.

- Work closely with senior leadership on investment strategy, business growth, and pipeline development.

- Represent the organization at industry conferences, investment forums, and real estate events.

- Strengthen relationships across the real estate, private credit, and financial services ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in real estate finance, structured credit, private credit, AIFs, investment banking, NBFCs, or real estate investment platforms.

- Proven track record of originating, structuring, and closing real estate financing transactions.

- Experience handling transactions ranging from 20 crore to 100 crore.

- Strong network within the real estate developer and investment banking ecosystem.

- Sound understanding of structured finance, real estate lending, credit evaluation, and investment structuring.

- Experience in portfolio monitoring, asset management, and risk management.

- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- CA, CFA, or MBA from a reputed institution.

- Experience presenting investment proposals to senior management and Investment Committees.

- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.

- High standards of integrity, professionalism, and execution excellence.
