Job Description - Buy Side Investment Banking

Company Overview:

Mumbai-based boutique investment banking firm focused on structured finance, debt syndication, capital raising, and advisory mandates across sectors.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an MBA professional with 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, structured finance, or investment advisory. The role involves deal origination, structuring, evaluation, and execution of buy-side transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Generate new mandates through deal origination and client acquisition.

- Conduct credit appraisal, financial analysis, and risk assessment.

- Structure term loans, working capital facilities, and customized funding solutions.

- Prepare financial models, information memorandums, and investor presentations.

- Negotiate term sheets and commercial arrangements with clients and lenders.

- Manage end-to-end transaction lifecycle from sourcing to closure.

- Engage with CFOs, promoters, banks, NBFCs, and funds for deal execution.

- Ensure compliance with sanction processes and regulatory frameworks.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- MBA (Finance preferred) from a reputed institute.

- 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Banking / Structured Finance / IB.

- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.

- Experience in corporate lending or mid-to-large corporate portfolio handling.

- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.

- Commercial acumen with revenue-oriented mindset.
