Job Purpose:

To oversee all financial aspects of the Food & Beverage (F&B) operations including budgeting, cost control, revenue tracking, vendor payments, and financial reporting. The F&B Finance Manager ensures financial health, compliance, and supports strategic decision-making for the department.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Budgeting:

- Develop and monitor annual budgets for all F&B units and outlets.

- Forecast revenues, expenses, and profitability based on historical data and business trends.

- Track actual vs. budgeted performance and report variances to management.

2. Cost Control & Analysis:

- Analyse food costs, labour costs, and overheads regularly to identify inefficiencies.

- Monitor inventory usage, wastage, pilferage, and implement controls.

- Collaborate with the executive chef and store manager to streamline purchasing and stock levels.

3. Revenue & Billing Oversight:

- Oversee daily revenue reconciliation from restaurants, cafeterias, and catering services.

- Ensure proper invoicing and collection for internal and external F&B services.

- Coordinate with the billing team for corporate, credit, and event-related billing.

4. Vendor Management & Payments:

- Validate purchase orders, goods received notes, and vendor invoices.

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments.

- Monitor outstanding payables and maintain good vendor relationships.

5. Financial Reporting & Audits:

- Prepare and present financial statements and MIS reports related to F&B operations.

- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

- Support internal and external audits with required data and documentation.

6. System & Process Improvements:

- Work with IT and F&B teams to enhance ERP/inventory system integration.

- Automate reporting and tracking tools for faster decision-making.

- Review and optimize SOPs for finance-related F&B processes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of F&B operations and costing

- Financial modelling and analysis skills

- Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance

- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) and MS Excel

- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination

- Analytical mindset with attention to detail

Qualifications & Experience:

- CA / MBA Finance / M.Com or equivalent degree

- 4-8 years of experience in F&b or hospitality finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role

- Experience in healthcare, institutional catering, or large-scale food operations is a plus
