Buy-Side Equity Research Analyst

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and analytical Buy-Side Equity Research Analyst to join the investment team of a leading Asset Management Company. The role involves conducting in-depth fundamental research, identifying investment opportunities, supporting portfolio managers with actionable investment ideas, and contributing to the overall investment decision-making process.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical capabilities, a passion for equity investing, and the ability to evaluate businesses across sectors through rigorous financial and qualitative analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed fundamental research on listed companies across sectors.

- Build and maintain financial models, valuation models, and earnings forecasts.

- Generate investment ideas through bottom-up company analysis and industry research.

- Perform company, sector, and competitive analysis to identify long-term investment opportunities.

- Meet company management teams, industry experts, and channel partners to gather investment insights.

- Prepare detailed investment notes, research reports, and stock recommendations.

- Monitor portfolio companies, quarterly earnings, and key market developments.

- Track macroeconomic trends, sector dynamics, and regulatory developments impacting investments.

- Work closely with Fund Managers in portfolio monitoring and investment decision-making.

Candidate Profile:

- Strong experience in Buy-Side Equity Research, Institutional Equity Research, or Investment Research.

- Excellent understanding of financial statements, accounting, valuation techniques, and financial modelling.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify high-conviction investment opportunities.

- Ability to independently evaluate companies and develop actionable investment recommendations.

- CFA, CA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
