BU Head - Oncology

Role Overview:

Lead the Oncology Business Unit with full ownership of P&L, sales performance, and marketing strategy. The role combines strategic marketing, field execution, and business leadership, ensuring growth of the oncology portfolio across India.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Leadership:

- Drive overall business performance for the Oncology BU with P&L responsibility.

- Work closely with NSM and regional sales teams to deliver revenue, market share, and productivity targets.

- Monitor field performance, align incentives, and ensure execution excellence.

- Lead product launches and ensure strong presence across key accounts, hospitals, and institutions.

Marketing & Portfolio Management:

- Develop brand strategy, positioning, and therapy growth plans.

- Lead medical/ scientific marketing execution, KOL engagement, CME programs, and market development activities.

- Plan annual marketing budgets, campaigns, and brand initiatives.

- Identify portfolio gaps, competitive movements, and therapy opportunities.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

- Collaborate with Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing teams.

- Ensure smooth product availability, compliance, and market execution.

- Represent the BU in leadership reviews and strategic planning forums.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and develop a team of marketing and sales professionals.

- Build capability, drive performance culture, and mentor high-potential talent.

Requirements:

- 9-15 years of experience in Oncology Sales + Marketing

- Experience managing pan-India oncology portfolios and cross-functional teams.

- Strong understanding of oncology market, therapy areas, KOL engagement & institutional business.

- Proven track record in driving business growth, launches & strategy execution.

- Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
