Job Title: Business Team Lead

About the Company:

SculptSoft Private Limited is a growing software services provider specializing in custom software development, AI/ML solutions, mobile and web applications, and staff augmentation.

We work with clients across multiple industries and geographies, helping them design and deliver impactful digital products.

As we expand our business vertical, we are looking for a Business Team Lead (BTL) who can combine business acumen, technical understanding, and team leadership to drive our pre-sales and business operations to the next level.

Role Overview:

The Business Team Lead will manage a business team consisting of Business Development Executives (BDEs) and Business Development Associates (BDAs).

This role blends leadership, coordination, and hands-on business development; ideal for someone with 1 - 3 years of experience who has handled client interactions, proposal management, and is ready to lead a team while still contributing individually.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Operations:


- Manage and mentor a team of Business Development Executives (BDEs) and Business Development Associates (BDAs).


- Set team goals, track performance metrics, and ensure alignment with company objectives.


- Conduct regular team meetings, provide coaching, and foster a collaborative environment.


- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient execution of pre-sales activities.

Business Development & Pre-Sales:


- Participate in client interactions, understand their needs, and propose suitable solutions.


- Manage the proposal development process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.


- Contribute to business development efforts, including lead generation and qualification.


- Collaborate with technical teams to create compelling proposals and presentations.

Process & Collaboration:


- Establish and refine pre-sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and technical teams to ensure seamless coordination.


- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and business development activities.


- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.

Required Skills & Attributes:


- Experience (13 years) in pre-sales, client coordination, or business development within IT/software services.


- Strong understanding of software services (web, mobile, or SaaS projects).


- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


- Confident client-facing and proposal presentation abilities.


- Organized, analytical, and proactive in managing priorities.


- Leadership mindset; ability to motivate and manage a small team.


- Intermediate proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with CRM workflows preferred.

Preferred Qualities:


- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.


- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and estimation processes.


- A balance of technical understanding and business perspective.


- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
