About the Role:

Our client, a global leader in publishing, content, technology, and knowledge services, is looking for a high-impact business leader to drive its transformation and growth journey. This is a strategic leadership position for a seasoned operations and business management professional with strong P&L ownership, client farming expertise, operational leadership, and global stakeholder management experience.

Candidates from a Manufacturing background, with solid experience in Operational Excellence, Organization Development, and Business Growth, will be preferred.

The successful candidate will own business performance, profitability, operational excellence, and account expansion across global markets, working closely with leadership teams across India, the UK, and the US.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Strategy & Growth:

- Define and execute long-term growth plans; lead annual/quarterly planning cycles.

- Drive strategic initiatives and identify operational/commercial expansion opportunities.

P&L Ownership:

- Own end-to-end business unit profitability - revenue, margins, budgeting, and cost optimization.

- Drive EBITDA and profitability improvements.

Business Operations Leadership:

- Lead large-scale operations across multiple geographies.

- Ensure delivery excellence, governance, and SLA adherence.

- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Client Farming & Account Expansion:

- Grow existing enterprise accounts through upselling, cross-selling, renewals, and strategic expansion.

- Build long-term client partnerships.

- (Note: This is a farming role, not a hunting/new-logo acquisition role.)

Global Stakeholder Management:

- Serve as primary interface for senior client stakeholders across India, UK, US, Europe, and Australia.

- Lead executive business reviews and high-stakes negotiations.

Transformation & Organization Development:

- Lead business transformation and change management programs.

- Drive process modernization and organizational development initiatives.

- Manage transitions while ensuring business continuity.

People Leadership:

- Lead large, multi-layered teams.

- Build future leadership talent and drive succession planning.

- Foster a high-performance culture.

Candidate Requirements:

- 15-18+ years of experience in business operations leadership with strong P&L ownership.

- Preferably from a Manufacturing background, with solid experience in Operational Excellence, Organization Development, and Business Growth.

- Proven track record in account farming and client expansion.

- Experience managing large, multi-layered teams across geographies.

- Strong global stakeholder management experience.

- Demonstrated success leading business transformation initiatives.

- Hands-on experience in production, delivery, and quality management with a techno-commercial background.

- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

- Commercially astute, cost-conscious, and objective in risk assessment and decision-making.

- Strong relationship-building skills with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
