About the Role:
- We are looking for a high-ownership professional to lead the Health Insurance vertical from an operations and partnerships perspective.
- This role sits at the intersection of operations, compliance, commercial negotiations, and partner management, and will act as the end-to-end owner of the vertical's operational governance and retailer relationships.
- You will work closely with internal sales teams, compliance teams, and external insurance partners to ensure seamless, compliant, and timely sales execution while optimizing commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vertical Ownership:
- Own end-to-end operational governance for the Health Insurance vertical
- Ensure adherence to defined SLAs and submission timelines
- Monitor overall performance metrics and drive improvements
2. SOP & Process Governance:
- Draft and maintain detailed SOPs based on partner contracts and compliance requirements
- Implement structured maker-checker systems
- Ensure execution teams adhere to defined processes
- Continuously improve operational workflows
3. Compliance & Audit Oversight:
- Ensure all sales (online and contact center) meet compliance standards
- Monitor quality checks and call audits
- Report compliant/non-compliant submissions to partners
- Work toward automation of manual processes
4. Retailer / Partner Management:
- Manage relationships with insurance partners
- Conduct performance reviews and audits
- Negotiate commercials, commissions, and volume commitments
- Collaborate on marketing initiatives to drive growth
5. Performance & Data Management:
- Track sales performance, conversion rates, and operational metrics
- Use data to identify bottlenecks and drive corrective actions
- Challenge internal teams and partners using structured analysis
6. New Partner Onboarding (When Required):
- Identify and onboard new insurance partners
- Ensure seamless integration into operational workflows
Experience & Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of experience in category management, vendor management, operations ownership, or partnership management
- Experience in marketplaces, insurance aggregators, fintech, or fast-paced startup environments preferred
- Exposure to commercial negotiations and vendor relationship management
- Experience drafting SOPs or managing operational governance
Education:
- MBA preferred (Tier-1 institutes a plus)
