Business Head (Water Treatment)

Driving revenue growth and market share expansion within an assigned territory, while contributing to the overall success of the Pan India & Overseas region. This role focuses on a solution-selling approach, building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying client needs, and effectively presenting Cos Water's comprehensive products/ solutions to address those needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure success in the water and wastewater market and play a critical role in achieving both territory-specific and overall sales objectives.



Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


- Solution Selling: Develop and execute sales plans focused on a consultative solution- selling approach, identifying client needs and presenting tailored solutions to address their challenges. This includes conducting thorough needs assessments, developing compelling proposals, and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to closure within the assigned territory, contributing to overall targets.


- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients within the assigned territory and beyond, as needed to support broader sales goals. Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the assigned territory and other relevant markets by understanding client needs and positioning Cos Water's solutions as effective answers.

- Lead Generation & Qualification: Generate leads through various channels across multiple market segments. Qualify leads based on their fit with Cos Water's solution offerings and their potential to become long-term clients.

- Technical Understanding: Possess a strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, technologies, and effectively communicate technical aspects to clients and internal stakeholders. Use this knowledge to position Cos Water's solutions as superior answers to client needs.

- Sales Process Optimization: Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes within the team. Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, particularly in the application of solution selling strategies.

- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and provide regular performance reports to the MD & Board, including data specific to the assigned territory and contributions to the overall Asia region. Maintain accurate sales data and CRM records.

- Market Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the market dynamics and competitive landscape within the assigned territory and across relevant market segments. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to tailor solution offerings.

- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Cost Estimating, Process Engineering, and Operations) to ensure seamless customer experience and successful project delivery across all relevant markets, particularly in providing comprehensive solutions.



Qualification And Experience:

1. BE & MBA with 15 years of progressive sales experience in the water and wastewater market, with a demonstrable track record of success using a solution-selling approach.

2. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a defined territory or market segment.

3. Strong understanding of the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, with end- users and within the EPC industry, emphasizing solution-based sales strategies.

4. Excellent client relationship management skills, including the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

5. Proficiency in MS Office and sales forecasting tools.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Experience in strategic partnership and work closely with Legal for handling NDA, MOU, JV agreement.

8. Experience in securing water / wastewater (Municipal and Industrial sector) projects with relevant industry network.

9. Understanding of Governance, procedures and requirements of local government tender.

10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
