Business Head - Technical Textiles
Experience: 10 - 15 Years
Role Overview: P&L Leadership & Strategic Growth
- We are seeking seasoned business leaders to take full P&L ownership and drive aggressive growth across specialized Technical Textile verticals.
- The Business Head will be responsible for defining market strategy, managing domestic and international supplier networks, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring profitability and strong collections for their entire vertical.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):
1. Strategic Growth & P&L Ownership
P&L Accountability: Achieve complete end-to-end ownership of the vertical's P&L, including sales revenue, operating margins, and working capital (collections).
Market Expansion: Define and execute strategies for new business development, new product lines, and geographical expansion in both domestic and international markets.
Commercial Targets: Drive ambitious sales targets, margin objectives, and ensure effective management of credit risk and collections.
2. Supply Chain & Operations Management
Supplier Network: Strengthen, manage, and expand the supplier and dealer networks, focusing on robust partnerships in India and overseas.
Sourcing & Quality: Build and lead the sourcing and quality assurance teams, ensuring superior material integrity and competitive pricing.
Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor the entire cross-functional team, including sales, sourcing, quality, and core operations.
3. Innovation & Collaboration
Product Development (PD) & R&D: Collaborate closely with Product Development (PD) and Research & Development (R&D) teams to identify market gaps, initiate new product innovation, and ensure the product portfolio remains cutting-edge.
Vertical Expertise: Maintain deep, expert-level technical and product knowledge relevant to the assigned textile vertical to guide commercial strategy.
Business Vertical Focus (Candidates will lead one of these areas)
Fashion / Home Textiles: Upholstery, Rugs, Curtains, Mattresses, etc.
Automobile Textiles: PU, Roof Liners, Carpets, Airbags, Laminates, etc.
PackTech / Industrial Textiles: PP, HDPE, FIBC, BOPP, Laminates, Wraps, etc.
Specialized Yarn: Aramid, Kevlar, Glass Fiber, Carbon Fiber, UHMWPE, etc.
Performance Fabrics: Stretch, Moisture Wicking, Anti-microbial, High Abrasion, etc.
Wearables & Smart Clothing: Graphene, Sensors, Conductive Fibers, E-Clothing.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience: 10-25 years of proven experience, preferably in technical textiles, trading, or manufacturing setups.
Sales Acumen: Exceptional sales and business development track record with demonstrable success in revenue and margin growth.
Technical Knowledge: Deep, mandatory technical and product knowledge within the materials science or technical textiles domain.
Network: Robust and active supplier network (both domestic and global) is essential.
Leadership: Proven experience in building and leading cross-functional teams.
