Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned and growth-driven Business Head to build and scale a High-Performance Sportswear vertical focused on the US market.

This is a strategic leadership role requiring strong expertise in sportswear apparel exports, performance textiles, international sourcing, product development, and global business expansion.

The ideal candidate should possess deep understanding of the sportswear ecosystem, US retail and brand landscape, technical fabrics, and global sourcing operations across India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and China.

The role offers complete ownership across business strategy, market expansion, sourcing, product development, supply chain management, and profitability for the sportswear business vertical.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and scale the High-Performance Sportswear business focused on US markets.

- Own complete P&L responsibility including revenue growth, profitability, budgeting, and business planning.

- Drive strategic business development initiatives with US brands, retailers, sourcing offices, and global accounts.

- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with international buyers and key stakeholders across the sportswear ecosystem.

- Lead global sourcing strategy across India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and China to optimize cost, quality, speed, and scalability.

- Drive product strategy and development across sportswear apparel, performance fabrics, activewear, and technical textile categories.

- Collaborate closely with sourcing, manufacturing, design, supply chain, and operations teams for seamless execution and delivery.

- Identify market opportunities, consumer trends, innovation areas, and category expansion possibilities within the global sportswear segment.

- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, vendor management, and customer acquisition initiatives.

- Drive operational excellence, supply chain optimization, compliance, and quality standards across sourcing and manufacturing operations.

- Manage strategic planning, forecasting, and business expansion initiatives for global markets.

- Build and mentor high-performing teams across sourcing, sales, product development, and business operations.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 15+ years of experience in Sportswear Apparel Exports, Performance Textiles, Technical Textiles, or Activewear industries.

- Strong experience working with US brands, retailers, and global sourcing ecosystems.

- Deep expertise in performance apparel development and technical fabric categories.

- Strong exposure to sourcing operations across India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and China.

- Proven track record of P&L ownership and scaling international business operations.

- Strong understanding of global supply chain management and sourcing strategies.

- Experience handling international business development, exports, and global account management.

- Strong commercial acumen with strategic business leadership capabilities.

- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

- Ability to drive innovation, scalability, and long-term business growth in global markets.
