Job Summary:
The Business Head - Specialty Chemicals will lead the strategic, commercial, and operational direction of the specialty chemicals division. This role is responsible for driving growth, profitability, innovation, and market leadership by overseeing product development, sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute long-term business strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Identify new market opportunities and develop entry strategies.
- P&L Ownership:
- Drive revenue growth and profitability across product lines.
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Sales & Marketing:
- Lead sales and marketing teams to expand market share and customer base.
- Build strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
Product & Innovation Management:
- Oversee product portfolio development and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with R&D to drive innovation and differentiation.
Operations & Supply Chain:
- Ensure efficient production planning, procurement, and logistics.
- Optimize cost structures and ensure quality compliance.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing cross-functional teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in the chemical industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing P&L and scaling specialty chemical businesses.
- Strong understanding of global chemical markets, regulatory frameworks, and customer dynamics.
