1. Business Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for profitable growth in the country.
- Translate brand vision into local execution aligned with cultural and consumer nuances.
- Lead cross-functional teams (Retail, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Technology).
- Own the P&L and drive EBITDA-positive operations.
2. Retail Expansion & Operations
- Identify, evaluate, and finalize store locations - high streets, malls, transit hubs, and tourist zones.
- Oversee store rollout timelines, design standards, and launch efficiency.
- Drive operational excellence across all stores: SOP adherence, VM compliance, CX standards.
- Plan and execute a kiosk/store-in-store format to maximize retail footprint and accessibility.
3. Category Management & Merchandising
- Adapt global assortments to local trends and seasonal preferences.
- Ensure right product mix, freshness, pricing strategy, and sell-through targets.
- Build data-driven mechanisms for product performance, replenishment, and markdown optimization.
4. Sales, Marketing & Brand Building
- Lead omni-channel strategy: retail, eCommerce, marketplaces.
- Plan localized brand marketing campaigns: digital, in-store, influencer, and PR.
- Launch flagship stores and local collaborations/IP to create buzz and footfall.
- Build tourism-oriented merchandising and location-specific SKUs to tap into high-footfall destinations.
5. Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Collaborate with global sourcing and warehouse teams to streamline inbound supply chain.
- Ensure availability at the store level with minimal stockouts or overstocking.
- Monitor logistics cost and efficiency, especially for geographically distributed regions.
6. Franchise & Partner Management (if applicable)
- Evaluate and onboard franchise partners.
- Monitor franchisee adherence to brand guidelines, training, and financial performance.
7. Team Building & Culture
- Build a strong team across functions and establish performance-driven culture.
- Attract and retain talent in operations, marketing, merchandising, and finance.
- Drive leadership development and succession planning.
Candidate Profile:
Experience:
- 12-18 years of experience in retail, FMCG, or lifestyle brand management.
- Prior experience in P&L management, multi-store operations, and scaling consumer brands.
- Exposure to retail expansion and mall negotiations preferred.
Education:
- MBA from a top-tier business school preferred (not mandatory with strong experience).
Skills & Traits:
- Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, consumer-driven environment.
- Hands-on with data, dashboards, and operational metrics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Creative thinking with a bias for execution.
