Role Overview:

The Flipkart India Lead - Business Head role is a critical leadership position responsible for driving the overall growth and profitability of a significant business unit within Flipkart. This role involves developing and executing strategic plans, managing category performance, optimizing pricing and promotions, and ensuring seamless operations. The Business Head works closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, logistics, and technology, to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve ambitious business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets for the assigned business unit.

- Lead category management efforts, including assortment planning, vendor negotiations, and inventory optimization, to maximize sales and profitability.

- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

- Drive pricing and promotional strategies to optimize sales volume and margins, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.

- Oversee the end-to-end customer experience, from product discovery to delivery, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.

- Manage and optimize the supply chain and logistics operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective order fulfillment.

- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

- Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

- Manage the P&L for the assigned business unit, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.

- Identify and evaluate new business development opportunities, including partnerships and strategic alliances, to expand Flipkart's reach and offerings.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business strategies in a dynamic eCommerce environment.

- Proven expertise in category management, including assortment planning, vendor negotiations, and pricing optimization.

- Strong analytical and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.

- Excellent understanding of online retail operations, including logistics, supply chain management, and customer service.

- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.

- Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.

- Experience in P&L management, with a strong understanding of financial principles and business metrics.

- Deep understanding of growth marketing strategies and tactics.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- 8-12 years of experience in eCommerce, online retail, or a related industry.

- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
