Job Title: Head of Operations E-commerce

Role Overview:

The Head of Operations - E-commerce will be responsible for leading and scaling end-to-end e-commerce operations. This role owns P&L, drives operational excellence, manages senior leadership teams, and partners closely with business, category, technology, and external stakeholders to deliver sustainable growth. The ideal candidate brings deep e-commerce operations experience, startup or scale-up exposure, and strong leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

E-commerce Operations & Execution:

- Oversee end-to-end e-commerce operations including supply chain, fulfillment, customer experience, and last-mile delivery.

- Build scalable, efficient, and process-driven operations to support rapid business growth.

- Drive operational KPIs such as order fulfillment, SLA adherence, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

P&L Ownership & Business Growth:

- Own and manage the P&L for the e-commerce business.

- Identify growth opportunities, cost optimization initiatives, and margin improvement levers.

- Partner with business and finance teams to deliver revenue, profitability, and growth targets.

Leadership & Team Management:

- Lead and mentor a senior leadership team across operations, supply chain, category, and vendor management.

- Build a high-performance, accountable, and execution-focused culture.

- Support talent development, succession planning, and organizational scalability.

Category Management:

- Work closely with category teams to ensure optimal assortment, availability, pricing, and promotions.

- Align category strategy with inventory planning and demand forecasting.

- Drive category-level performance through data-driven decision-making.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management:

- Oversee inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment, and stock health.

- Minimize stock-outs, excess inventory, and working capital lock-ins.

- Ensure efficient warehousing, logistics, and fulfillment operations.

Vendor & Partner Management:

- Manage strategic relationships with vendors, sellers, logistics partners, and service providers.

- Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs, and performance benchmarks.

- Ensure compliance, reliability, and long-term partnerships.

Stakeholder Management:

- Act as a key interface with internal stakeholders including leadership, product, tech, finance, marketing, and customer experience teams.

- Present operational performance, risks, and growth plans to senior leadership and board members.

- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive alignment and execution.

Qualification & Experience:

- Graduate or MBA with 12+ years of experience in e-commerce operations.

- Proven leadership experience managing large, cross-functional and senior teams.

- Strong experience in scaling e-commerce or digital businesses, preferably in startup or high-growth environments.

- Demonstrated P&L ownership and business growth responsibility.

- Deep expertise in operations, supply chain, inventory, category, and vendor management.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution capabilities.

- Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and results-driven environments.

Preferred Experience:

- Startup or scale-up e-commerce experience.

- Exposure to omni channel or marketplace models.

- Experience working with large vendor ecosystems and logistics partners.
