Business Head - Machine Innovation Centre

Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering; Management Degree (MBA/PGDM) preferred

Reporting To: Board of Directors

Role Overview:

The COO - Business Operations will be responsible for leading the organization's Machine Innovation centre and Special purpose machinery business with full P&L accountability. The incumbent will drive strategic growth, operational excellence, and innovation across inspection systems, pharmaceutical packaging solutions, and custom-engineered machines. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional with deep industry expertise, strong business acumen, and proven success in scaling operations.

- Define and execute long-term business strategy

- Drive organizational growth through innovation, market expansion, and operational efficiency.

- Represent the company in industry forums, client meetings, and global partnerships.

- Full ownership of revenue, profitability, and cost optimization.

- Oversee design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning of machines.

- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.

- Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and digital transformation initiatives.

- Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, production, supply chain, and service.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Experience:

- 25+ years in machine building industry

- Proven track record of leading large-scale operations with P&L responsibility.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong technical expertise in machine design, automation etc

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Education:

- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering.

- MBA/PGDM or equivalent management qualification preferred.
