Description: The Business Head - Home Care will be responsible for driving end-to-end business performance of the Home Care portfolio, including strategy, P&L ownership, sales growth, brand building, channel expansion, and team leadership. The role requires strong experience in the Home Care category (detergents, cleaners, dishwash, disinfectants, etc.) within the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business & P&L Ownership:

- Own the overall P&L for the Home Care business, including revenue, margins, and trade spends.

- Drive sustainable topline and bottom-line growth across different channels

- Develop annual operating plans (AOPs), long-term growth strategy, and market expansion plans.

2. Sales & Channel Strategy:

- Lead national sales strategy across the channels.

- Strengthen distributor and channel partner network to improve reach, availability, and execution.

- Drive secondary sales, outlet coverage, numeric and weighted distribution.

- Optimize route-to-market (RTM) and improve sales productivity.

3. Marketing & Brand Leadership:

- Lead brand strategy, portfolio management, and innovation for Home Care categories.

- Oversee product launches, relaunches, and line extensions.

- Drive consumer-centric marketing, shopper marketing, and in-store activation programs.

- Ensure strong collaboration between Sales, Trade Marketing, and Brand Marketing teams.

4. Category & Market Development:

- Deep understanding of Home Care categories such as:

- Fabric Care (Detergents, Liquids, Bars)

- Surface & Floor Cleaners

- Dishwash

- Toilet & Hygiene Cleaners

- Track market trends, competition, pricing, and consumer behaviour.

- Leverage market data (Nielsen, Kantar, internal sales analytics) to drive decision-making.

5. Trade Marketing & Execution Excellence:

- Define and execute trade promotion strategies and visibility programs.

- Ensure effective in-store execution, merchandising, and POSM deployment.

- Evaluate trade spends and ROI to improve efficiency.

6. Team Leadership & Capability Building:

- Lead and mentor large cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Analytics.

- Build strong second-line leadership and succession plans.

- Foster a high-performance culture with strong governance and accountability.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, and Manufacturing to ensure:

- Product availability

- Cost optimization

- Timely launches

- Partner with Finance for pricing, margin management, and forecasting.

8. Governance & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory norms, and ethical trade practices.

- Manage risks related to trade spends, distributor credit, and market operations.
