POSITION OVERVIEW:
My client is looking for a dynamic Business Head - D2C to own and scale the business end-to-end. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in digital marketing, inside sales, and full P&L management in a fast-paced consumer internet environment.
Position: Business Head - D2C
Location: Mumbai ( On -Site )
Experience: 7-13 Years
Function: Business Leadership | P&L Management | D2C Growth | Digital & Inside Sales
KEY RESPOSIILITIES:
1) P&L and Business Strategy:
- Own and manage the P&L for the D2C business - accountable for revenue, margins, costs, and EBITDA.
- Develop and execute annual business plans, including revenue forecasts, pricing strategy, and growth initiatives.
- Drive sustainable growth through data-backed decision-making and disciplined cost management.
2) Digital Marketing & Demand Generation:
- Oversee performance marketing across Meta, Google, YouTube, and influencer channels.
- Lead the marketing strategy including CRM automation, SEO, content, and brand storytelling.
- Collaborate with product and creative teams to strengthen brand positioning and consumer engagement.
3) Sales & Revenue Operations:
- Build and lead a high-performing inside sales team to convert inbound and outbound leads.
- Establish sales processes, scripts, and KPIs to improve conversion and customer satisfaction.
- Implement CRM and lead management systems for pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy.
- Drive upsell, cross-sell, and renewal strategies to maximize LTV.
4) Operations & Fulfillment:
- Manage the operational backbone - order processing, logistics, inventory, and partner coordination.
- Ensure seamless delivery of physical learning kits with focus on quality and turnaround time.
- Identify process improvements to reduce operational costs and enhance efficiency.
5) Leadership & People Development:
- Lead cross-functional teams spanning marketing, inside sales, customer success, and operations.
- Build a culture of accountability, agility, and collaboration.
- Mentor and upskill next-line managers, ensuring strong execution and succession planning.
WHAT MY CLIENNT IS ACTUALLY LOOKIG FOR ( CANDIDATES CRITERIA):
1. 7-14 years of total experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles in D2C / Consumer Internet / EdTech / Health Tech / FMCG.
2. Proven track record in digital marketing (performance + CRM) and inside sales leadership.
3. Strong financial acumen and direct ownership of business P&L.
4. Experience in scaling digital-first consumer businesses with - 50-100 Cr+ annual revenue.
5. Deep understanding of consumer funnels, acquisition, retention, and unit economics.
6, Hands-on with tools such as Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, HubSpot, or MoEngage.
