Business Head - Foundry Division (Coimbatore)

Role Purpose:
To lead and grow the Foundry Division as an independent profit centre, driving strategic, operational, and commercial excellence. The incumbent will be responsible for P&L management, market development, process improvement, technology upgradation, and team leadership to ensure sustained growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic & Business Leadership
- Develop and execute the business strategy aligned with the Groups overall goals.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities in domestic and export markets.
- Build strong customer relationships and drive business diversification in industrial applications.
- Benchmark against global best practices to enhance competitiveness.
2. P&L and Operations Management
- Own full P&L responsibility revenue, margins, cost control, and working capital.
- Oversee foundry operations including melting, molding, casting, machining, and finishing.
- Drive productivity, yield improvement, and scrap reduction initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and delivery commitments.
3. Quality, Technology, and Process Excellence
- Implement and sustain world-class quality systems (ISO, IATF, etc.).
- Champion adoption of advanced foundry technologies (automation, digital monitoring, simulation tools, etc.).
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and TPM practices.
4. Marketing and Customer Management
- Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies for industrial customers.
- Engage with OEMs and global buyers to enhance the business portfolio.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through on-time delivery, consistent quality, and technical support.
5. People Leadership
- Build, develop, and motivate a high-performance cross-functional team.
- Drive safety, accountability, and performance culture across all levels.
- Nurture technical and managerial capability for succession planning.
6. Compliance, Sustainability & EHS
- Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety norms.
- Drive initiatives for sustainable manufacturing and carbon footprint reduction.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Revenue growth and profitability (EBITDA, ROCE).
- Capacity utilization and productivity improvement.
- Customer satisfaction index and new business acquisition.
- Cost competitiveness and operational efficiency.
- Safety performance and compliance adherence.

Candidate Profile:
Education:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Metallurgy / Mechanical / Production Engineering.
- MBA preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
- 20+ years of experience in foundry or metal casting operations, with at least 5 to 7 years in a senior P&L leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing medium to large-scale foundry units supplying to industrial or automotive sectors.
- Strong exposure to modern foundry technology, automation, and quality systems.
