Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute the overall strategy for the EV components business vertical in line with organizational goals.
- Identify new market opportunities with OEMs and EV manufacturers across domestic and international markets.
- Drive business development initiatives, strategic partnerships, and technology collaborations.
P&L and Business Leadership
- Own and manage P&L responsibility for the EV components business unit.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion.
- Build scalable business models for emerging EV technologies and product segments.
Customer & OEM Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive OEMs, EV manufacturers, and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Lead commercial negotiations and long-term supply agreements.
- Collaborate closely with customers on product development and program launches.
Product & Technology Leadership
- Work with engineering and R&D teams to support development of EV components such as:
- Electric motors
- Battery systems and BMS
- Power electronics and controllers
- Thermal management systems
- Track emerging trends in electrification, battery technology, and EV platforms.
Manufacturing & Operations Oversight
- Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to scale production capabilities and optimize plant performance.
- Ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of EV component programs.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams across engineering, sales, operations, and program management.
- Build a high-performance culture and mentor senior leaders within the EV business unit.
Candidate Profile:
Experience:
- 22+ years of experience in automotive or EV component manufacturing.
- Prior leadership experience in roles such as Business Head, BU Head, Vice President, or Director.
Technical Exposure:
- Strong exposure to multiple EV component domains, such as:
- EV powertrain systems
- Electric motors / driveline
- Battery packs and BMS
- Power electronics / controllers
- Thermal management systems
Key Skills:
- Strategic business leadership
- P&L management
- OEM relationship management
- Program management in automotive or EV ecosystem
- Manufacturing and supply chain understanding
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Automotive Engineering
- MBA preferred
