Business Finance Professional - FMCG - Contractual - CA

What You'll Do:

Marketplace P&L Ownership:

- Own and manage the end-to-end P&L for key e-commerce marketplaces, including Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Nykaa, and Myntra.

- Continuously monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve channel profitability and margin optimization.

Pricing and Commercial Strategy:

- Work closely with business teams to develop pricing strategies aligned with marketplace dynamics and business objectives.

- Evaluate and optimize commission structures, discounts, and promotional strategies to reduce the cost of doing business.

Profitability and Financial Insights:

- Conduct strategic financial analysis to identify opportunities for improving profitability across channels.

- Provide actionable insights to business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.

Marketplace Financial Controls:

- Track and manage damages, claims, and recoveries from marketplace partners such as Amazon and Flipkart.

- Ensure proper tracking, follow-ups, and collections to recover eligible amounts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with the Supply Chain Finance team and Supply Chain Operations to ensure alignment on operational and financial matters.

- Partner with internal teams to improve cost structures and operational efficiencies across marketplace operations.

Cost Optimization:

- Identify opportunities to reduce the overall cost of doing business across marketplaces without compromising growth.

- Evaluate marketplace expenses, commissions, and operational costs to drive efficiency.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a small team of finance analysts / graduate trainees.

- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure strong financial analysis, reporting, and process discipline.

Strategic Growth Initiatives:

- Identify new avenues to unlock profitability and financial gains from marketplace partners.

- Proactively evaluate areas where the business can capture additional value or recover due payments.

Who You Are:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - First Attempt Pass-out (Mandatory)

- Prior experience in Business Finance within D2C, FMCG, or similar consumer-driven industries.

- Experience working with e-commerce marketplace financials (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) is highly preferred.

- Ability to own financial outcomes and influence business strategy through insights and analysis.
