About the Role

We are looking for a high-calibre Business Finance Partner to drive financial performance, strategic decision-making, and commercial excellence across our luxury retail and e-commerce business units. This role will work closely with CXOs, brand heads, merchandising, supply chain, and digital teams to ensure strong financial governance and profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Partnering & Strategy

- Act as the finance lead for key business verticals (Retail, E-Com, Omni-channel).

- Partner with senior stakeholders to evaluate business decisions, new launches, pricing strategies, and expansion plans.

- Provide insights on revenue drivers, category profitability, and margin optimization.

Support annual operating plans, long-range planning, and quarterly forecasts.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

- Prepare and analyse P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements for relevant business units.

- Build dynamic financial models to support decision-making across merchandising, buying, inventory, and digital performance.

- Track KPIs such as ASP, AOV, conversion rates, sell-through, markdown impact, store productivity, and CAC/ROI for digital campaigns.

3. Commercial Finance & Profitability Management

- Evaluate business cases for new stores, marketplace partnerships, brand collaborations, marketing spends, and capex plans.

- Conduct ROI analysis, scenario planning, and sensitivity assessments.

- Drive gross margin improvement through pricing, discount optimization, and purchasing strategies.

- Lead cost control initiatives across retail operations, logistics, and customer experience.

4. Governance, Controls & Compliance

- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and adherence to company policies.

- Partner with internal audit to strengthen processes across procurement, inventory, warehousing, and store operations.

- Monitor risks and implement corrective measures proactively.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with merchandising, digital, supply chain, and store operations teams.

- Present business insights and financial recommendations to leadership for strategic decisions.

- Influence non-finance teams with data-driven arguments and financial logic.

Candidate Profile:

Must-Have:

- 5+ years of experience in Business Finance / FP&A / Commercial Finance.

- Background in retail, e-commerce, luxury, fashion, FMCG, or consumer-tech preferred.

- Strong understanding of P&L management, inventory-led businesses, and digital commerce metrics.

- Advanced Excel & financial modelling skills; exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) is an advantage.

- Strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.
