
Role Overview:
As the Business Finance Manager, you will be the strategic finance partner driving profitable growth for the fastest growing segments of our business. You will own the end-to-end financial performance (P&L), from unit economics and revenue assurance to marketplace reconciliations and working capital optimization. You will also be responsible to ensure governance, controllership, MIS, budgeting and reporting.
Responsibility:
- Partnering closely with business, operations and finance teams to analyze financial performance and defining processes. Build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Evaluate ROI for performance marketing spends, consumer promotions, and new product launches across digital platforms.
- Prepare Business Plan and drive achievement on all financials and operational parameters.
- Guide business teams on commercial structuring, pricing, and discounting strategies for various platforms.
- Work closely with Business teams to drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, cost controls, inventory management, contract management.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, variance analysis, and business performance trends to Leadership team.
- Provide insights and recommendations on cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and capital allocation to improve profitability.
- Product costing, margin analysis and tracking, active participation in pricing strategy.
- Track and improve key digital metrics: Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), ROAS, and contribution margins.
- Monitor revenue leakages by ensuring zero-gap marketplace reconciliations (settlements, commissions, and returns).
- Upkeep of financial controls and hygiene in books keeping. Ensure sufficient internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls in all financial planning activities. Compliance with accounting standards, statutory laws & regulations.
- Internal to Wipro: Drive Working Capital optimization, Business proposal evaluations, contract negotiation, Capex/investment plan etc.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 8 - 12 years of post-qualification experience with atleast 4 years in Business Finance within FMCG company.
- Analytical ability: ability to contribute to business and resolve business issues. Advanced expertise in Financial Modeling and MS Excel. Experience in and knowledge of various IT applications/tools/platforms.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the FMCG industry dynamics.
- Ability to influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. High ownership mindset, ability to work in fast-paced startup-like environments within a corporate structure, and excellent stakeholder management.
- Understanding of implications of commercials and tax laws on accounting. Good understanding of Ind AS/IFRS.
