Role Overview:

Our client, a leading listed organization in the leisure and hospitality sector, is seeking a seasoned Business Financial Controller to lead its financial reporting and governance mandate.

The Business Finance Controller will act as a strategic finance partner to the business, driving financial planning, performance management, commercial decision support, and governance excellence.

The role goes beyond statutory oversight and will focus on enabling profitable growth, improving business visibility, strengthening cost controls, and supporting leadership with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a strategic finance partner to business and functional leaders (Marketing, HR, Legal, Admin, etc.), driving profitability, cost efficiencies, and performance visibility.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reviews, providing variance analysis and actionable insights to support decision-making.

- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation and presentation of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Annual Reports, delivering a true and fair view of the company's financial position.

- Oversee consolidation of accounts (including foreign subsidiaries) with strong knowledge of IND AS, IGAAP, and applicable reporting frameworks.

- Drive compliance across direct and indirect taxation, statutory requirements, and SEBI-related matters in coordination with relevant teams.

- Strengthen internal financial controls, risk management frameworks, and lead internal & statutory audits.

- Spearhead centralized finance operations including P2P and working capital oversight to improve efficiency and control.

- Leverage SAP, Hyperion, and BI tools to enhance automation, reporting accuracy, digitization, and overall process excellence.

Required Skillset:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of post-qualification experience.

- 15+ years of progressive experience across Business Finance, FP&A, and Financial Reporting.

- Prior experience in a listed or multi-entity organization (Mandatory).

- Strong experience managing accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation for a listed entity within a multi-entity / multinational environment.

- Exposure to IND AS / IGAAP reporting frameworks.

- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.

- Solid understanding of direct and indirect taxation frameworks, including coordination on assessments and litigation matters.

- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP FICO or equivalent) and reporting automation tools.
