Job Description: Salon Network Expansion Manager
Position Title: Salon Network Expansion Manager
Department: Sales & Distribution / Market Development
Reports To: National Sales Manager
Location: Multiple Locations
Role Purpose
The Salon Network Expansion Manager is responsible for building, activating, and scaling a high-performance salon ecosystem that drives product adoption, revenue growth, and brand advocacy. The role focuses on onboarding new salons, ensuring deep product penetration, strengthening influence within local salon communities, and achieving consistent monthly sales through strategic engagement and network management.
Key Responsibilities (Aligned to KPIs)
1. Network Expansion & Growth
- Onboard and activate a minimum of 400 new salons within the review period.
- Ensure every onboarded salon creates a downstream network of at least 20 active neighborhood salons.
- Maintain 80%+ active participation (monthly ordering) across the onboarded salons and their extended networks.
- Continuously map, identify, and penetrate new salon clusters and high-potential pockets.
2. Product Range Penetration & Usage
- Guarantee 100% availability, visibility, and listing of the company's full product range across all 400 salons.
- Drive a minimum 75% usage adoption rate for all core SKUs at each salon.
- Push and monitor new product launches, ensuring each salon adopts/purchases within 60 days of launch.
- Reduce product dormancy by activating slow-moving SKUs through strategic promotions and education.
3. Network Influence & Association Engagement
- Build a strong Salon ecosystem that exerts influence at local salon association meetings and community gatherings.
- Strengthen relationships with salon owners to make them brand advocates.
- Coordinate and drive participation in association events, brand promotions, trainings, and product demos.
- Identify influential stylists/salon leaders to champion the brand within local networks.
4. Sales & Revenue Contribution
- Deliver incremental revenue growth of X% driven specifically through the salon channel.
- Achieve average monthly billing of - 800,000 per salon within two months of onboarding.
- Track, monitor, and improve salon-wise performance to ensure consistent month-on-month revenue contribution.
- Coordinate closely with distributors/ASMs to ensure product availability and seamless billing.
5. Efficiency & Benefit Delivery
- Ensure 100% transparent and timely delivery of benefits, schemes, and incentives to salons.
- Maintain zero escalations or disputes related to scheme payments, rewards, or support activities.
- Monitor scheme utilization and maintain accurate documentation for audit compliance.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of salon industry dynamics and influencer networks.
- Proven experience in channel development, sales activation, or beauty/cosmetics distribution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage large field networks and deliver measurable results.
- Strategic planning, data analysis, and performance monitoring capability.
- High ownership mindset with agility to execute grassroots market strategies.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field/MBA preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in salon channel management, FMCG, beauty, or cosmetics sector.
- Prior field sales and network expansion experience is highly desirable.
