Role Overview:
We are looking for a high-energy Business Development Manager who thrives in founder-facing roles and excels at building strong, trust-based relationships. The role requires a hustler mindset, strong presence, and the ability to engage confidently with entrepreneurs and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and build relationships with startup founders and business leaders
- Drive business development initiatives through proactive outreach and networking
- Source and qualify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
- Act as the primary point of contact for founders and senior stakeholders
- Maintain strong pipeline management and follow-ups
- Represent the organization at industry events, founder meets, and networking forums
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to drive closures and long-term relationships
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 2-4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or founder-facing roles
- Proven track record of engaging with 500+ founders or senior decision-makers in the last 2 years
- Confident, articulate, and charismatic personality with strong executive presence
- Entrepreneurial, street-smart, and relationship-driven approach
- High ownership mindset with strong hustle and execution focus
Domain Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of finance fundamentals (prior exposure to debt/finance is a plus, not mandatory)
- Comfortable holding strategic conversations with founders, CXOs, and senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform in high-pressure, fast-moving environments
Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field
- Willingness to take initiative and go beyond defined responsibilities
