As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the Solar EPC domain.
This includes establishing partnerships, building a solid client base, managing key accounts, and contributing to the company's long-term growth strategy in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Strategy Development:
- Analyze industry trends, market potential, and competitor landscape.
- Identify emerging opportunities in commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar sectors.
- Formulate and execute regional strategies to grow EPC business.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify and target high-value prospects in relevant sectors.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with clients, developers, investors, and government stakeholders.
- Manage proposal discussions, negotiations, and contract closures.
Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Achieve sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability goals.
- Track and manage leads, pipeline development, and sales forecasting.
- Drive the entire sales cycle - from prospecting to deal closure.
Project Development & Coordination:
- Coordinate with engineering and execution teams to ensure project alignment with client expectations.
- Lead the preparation of proposals, technical documentation, and presentations.
Financial Oversight & Compliance:
- Support in the negotiation and execution of project contracts.
- Monitor project financials to ensure cost control and margin achievement.
- Stay abreast of policy changes and regulatory requirements within the solar sector.
Networking & Representation:
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and business forums.
- Build a strong professional network across the renewable energy landscape.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or Renewable Energy; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development/sales in solar or renewable energy.
- Strong grasp of Solar EPC models, policies, and technical lifecycles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Proven track record of acquiring large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and financial acumen.
