Role Overview:
We are hiring a Business Development Manager to support outbound sales efforts and help build a steady sales pipeline.
The role involves initiating conversations with potential customers, qualifying prospects, and setting up first meetings for the sales team.
The role focuses on outbound outreach to D2C and e-commerce brands, FMCG and consumer brands, and B2B shippers sourced through exhibitions, trade shows, and B2B platforms such as IndiaMART.
This is a proactive sales role suited for candidates who are comfortable with cold outreach and engaging directly with decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound prospecting through LinkedIn, exhibition lead databases, and similar platforms
- Reach out to founders, operations heads, and other decision-makers
- Qualify leads based on business requirements and suitability
- Schedule discovery calls and initial meetings for the sales team
- Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, and outcomes
- Coordinate with internal teams to improve outreach messaging and targeting
- Develop an understanding of logistics, e-commerce, and supply-chain solutions
Requirements:
- 24 years of experience in B2B sales, inside sales, or outbound lead generation
- Comfortable with cold calling, cold outreach, and follow-ups
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Organised approach to lead tracking and pipeline management
- Willingness to learn logistics and supply-chain concepts
- Self-motivated and target-oriented
